Our Mission and Values
IPSESA envisions a world where all people with developmental disabilities are fully immersed in the community, lead meaningful lives, and enrich the lives of others. Our mission is to transform lives and communities by facilitating inclusive education and employment experiences for adults with developmental disabilities.
We value inclusion and dignity. We believe people with disabilities deserve to lead meaningful lives alongside their peers, characterized by belonging, independence, self-determination. We value our communities’ full diversity. We value empowerment and support individuals with disabilities to build confidence and unlock their full potential through inclusive post-secondary education and employment. We believe trusting, reciprocal relationships are the foundation for both a meaningful life and for sustainable social change. As such, we emphasize relationships with and among students, graduates, families, staff, the Board of Directors, and our partners. Lastly, we persistently advocate for and with people with disabilities to advance their rights and interests and ensure they are fully immersed in the community. We support and educate our community partners, endeavoring to meet them where they are on their inclusion journey.
