Michael MacLeod (he/him)
Executive Director
I am the Executive Director of IPSESA – an organization devoted to inclusive education and employment in the Calgary region. After many years serving at post-secondary educational institutions in Canada and the US, first as a professor and later as a senior academic manager and university administrator, I am delighted now to be leading this unique non-profit agency. We are a team of caring professionals, working diligently with individuals and families to help them become fully accepted members of our community. Our focus is always on ensuring each of our clients receives the best support regardless of background or circumstances.
Flora Hui-Tsang (she/her)
Associate Director of Services
Hi, I’m Flora Hui-Tsang, Associate Director of Services. I’m proud to be part of IPSESA — an organization deeply committed to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, diverse abilities and varied learning styles. I’ve always believed in creating spaces where everyone feels valued, included, and supported, and that’s exactly what we strive for every day. Working in this field has taught me so much about resilience, creativity, and the power of community. It is a true privilege to walk alongside the individuals and families we support, and to be part of a team that upholds dignity, equity, and a sense of belonging for all.
Allen Burn (he/him)
Employment Facilitator
I am an employment facilitator with the Graduate Support Services department of our organization at the University of Calgary campus. I graduated from Mount Royal University’s Community Rehabilitation Services program and began working at our U of C campus from its beginning. I am dedicated in developing inclusive work environments emphasizing dignity, empowerment, relationship engagement and independence.
Anna Couillard (she/her)
Education Facilitator
I am an Education Facilitator working at the University of Calgary campus. I started with IPSESA as a practicum student in the Community Rehabilitation & Disability Studies program. Since joining IPSESA, I have enjoyed seeing our clients grow in confidence and knowledge as they explore education and career opportunities. I appreciate the dedication of our clients, families, and staff to creating inclusive post-secondary education for everyone.
Faith Bruno (she/her)
Education Facilitator / Employment Facilitator
I am an Education and Employment Facilitator at the University of Calgary with a background in Child and Youth Care Studies. My academic and professional experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the importance of creating supportive environments where young people can thrive. I've been working with people with developmental disabilities for 6 years in various settings and I am passionate about helping them feel heard, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. My goal is to make a meaningful impact by fostering independence, growth, and overall well-being in the lives of young people.
Wafa Virk (she/her)
Employment Facilitator
I am an Employment Facilitator with IPSESA, working in the Graduates Support Services (GSS) department. I bring a background in human services, having supported individuals facing challenges such as homelessness, addiction, disabilities, and mental health concerns. I also have extensive experience in the employment sector, including managing multiple employment contracts and helping individuals secure meaningful job placements. Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, further enhancing my ability to support and empower others. Outside of work, I enjoy nature walks, reading literature, and playing volleyball.
Amber Eppenberger (she/her)
Community Coordinator / Education Facilitator
I am the Community Coordinator and Education Facilitator at both the University of Calgary and SAIT. With a background in Social Development Studies, I’m passionate about fostering inclusive, meaningful opportunities for students. I enjoy building connections on campus and supporting students as they engage in academic, social, and employment experiences. I’m especially committed to helping families navigate the often-challenging transition from high school to post-secondary education. Supporting inclusive education and student success is at the heart of my work.
Christian Pasion (he/him)
Education Facilitator / Employment Facilitator
My name is Christian, and I’m a Facilitator here at the University of Calgary, where I also earned my Bachelor’s degree in Community Rehabilitation. Before joining IPSESA, I worked directly with children with autism, which really sparked my passion for helping others and supporting them in reaching their full potential. One of my favourite parts about my job is getting to build connections with the students and seeing how much they have grown over time. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at the gym or spending time with my family and friends.
Immaculate Ooko (she/her)
Education Facilitator
I’m an Education Facilitator based at the University of Calgary campus. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and have always been passionate about helping others. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work in a field where I could support people in meaningful ways. I’m especially passionate about inclusive education and working with individuals with disabilities. I love seeing the growth and progress my clients make, whether it’s reaching a goal, building confidence, or becoming more independent. Being part of that journey is what makes my work so fulfilling.
Zulema Sanchez (she/her)
Service Coordinator / Education Facilitator
My name is Zulema Sanchez, and I serve as the IPSE Program Coordinator and Educational Facilitator at St. Mary's University. I completed my university studies in Mexico, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communication along with a specialization in Pedagogy from the Mexican Department of Public Education. Additionally, I hold a diploma in Human Services from Columbia College in Calgary. I am highly motivated about supporting the inclusion and participation of people who experience challenges due to disabilities, communication barriers, and other disadvantages. I truly believe that each person has a unique set of skills and talents, and I strive to adopt a strengths-based approach in the services I provide to best support and empower the students in our program.
Angus Tang (he/him)
Employment Facilitator
I work as an Employment Facilitator supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and neurodiverse conditions at the University of Calgary. I bring over seven years of experience in inclusive coaching, along with a background in career development and employment support. I'm passionate about using creative, strengths-based strategies to help each person build confidence, gain practical skills, and grow their independence. This role has also given me the chance to learn about industries and career paths I hadn’t considered before, which continues to broaden my perspective and appreciation for diverse workplaces.
Conner Pope (he/him)
Education Facilitator
I am one of the Education Facilitators at the University of Calgary. I graduated from UCalgary with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I really enjoyed my time as a student, and now I enjoy being able to share that experience with our students. I am passionate about supporting clients as they go through the full experience of post-secondary education. I am always grateful to have the opportunity to see our clients grow in their skills, try new things, and reach their full potential.
Louise Riley (she/her)
Employment Specialist / Employment Facilitator
I’m an Employment Specialist and Employment Facilitator, and a Certified Career Development Professional (CCDP). I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta and consider myself a lifelong learner, always looking for ways to grow both personally and professionally. I enjoy connecting with employers and take pride in helping students and graduates find meaningful job opportunities. I’m passionate about career development and committed to advocating for the success of those I support. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and my three boys, and I find balance through practicing yoga.
